XERF is a non-invasive radio-frequency skin tightening treatment designed to heat targeted layers of tissue to support contraction of existing collagen while helping to stimulate new collagen growth. At Spindrift Aesthetics in St. Petersburg, Florida XERF® treatments are used to help improve the appearance of skin laxity without needles, numbing, or surgery.

Most patients benefit from a series of two XERF® treatments, although the ideal number depends on skin laxity, treatment area, age, collagen health, weight loss goals & nutritional status, and aesthetic goals. A consultation is recommended to create a personalized treatment plan.

XERF® treatments have little to no downtime. Temporary redness, warmth, mild swelling or tenderness may occur after the treatment, but most patients return to normal activities the same day. There is no interruption in exercise or other activities following your treatment.

Some patients notice an early tightening effect, but collagen remodeling develops gradually following your treatment. Results often continue to improve over the weeks and months following treatment.

XERF® treatments may not be appropriate for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have certain implanted metal devices in the treatment area or permanent pacemakers, have active infection or illness, are taking certain medications such as antibiotics or steroids, or have specific autoimmune conditions that require provider review.

Yes. XERF® treatments ay be combined with collagen-stimulating treatments such as Sculptra®, PRP/PRF, or SkinPen® microneedling when clinically appropriate. Combination plans are customized based on your skin quality, volume loss, laxity and goals.
